The Kelly Kettle is the traditional kettle of West of Ireland fishermen.
It will boil water in 3-5 minutes depending on the type of fuel used, in almost any weather conditions so guaranteeing a cuppa even in the rain!
Made from Aluminium, it is essentially a double walled chimney with the water contained in the chimney wall.
Once the kettle is filled with water, a small fire is lit in the base. The kettle sits on the base and additional fuel (twigs, leaves, paper, dry animal dung) can be dropped down the chimney.
Kelly kettles are extremely portable pieces of essential kit....take it to the beach, on a canoe trip, a day's fishing or Wilderness camping..... use to simply boil water or with the addition of the cook set it is also possible to heat food.
1.3l kettle boils enough water to fill 5-6 cups full.
Also available in 1.1l and 0.5l trekking model.
